I hope that everyone reading this has submitted bugs to an open source project at least sometime since they started using open source software. I mean, it's the easiest way to help the community out - let the developers know if there's a problem so they can fix it. I've done it for Mozilla, KDE, and other projects.
As with all human endeavors, it's possible to categorize people into different groups. benj's blog, in a wonderful post titled "Every time you submit a bad bug report, god kills a kitten", has classified bug reporters into different groups. It's a tongue-in-cheek post, but it's pretty funny ... and pretty true. Now, the question to ask is: which one are you?
